ABOUT GAS SAFETY DEVICE

Features of GAS SAFE :

· Gas Safe is an emergency shut off valve, which cuts off supply of gas, incase of any major hazard caused in Domestic system due to either leakage of supply line from Cylinder to Gas Stove and or failure of equipment such as low pressure regulator, Gas stove etc. thus avoiding any potential gruesome accident. In case of minor leakage, the product has the facility to do leak test check. This avoids wastage of priceless LPG; also potential major leakage is avoided by rectification of the leak

The product has a LPG level indicator, which enables the customers to order the refill in time.

Gas Safe will shut off if.............................

Gas Safe will automatically shut-off the gas supply from the cylinder due to major leakages of gas caused due to:

The rupturing of a tube or pulling off the stove or regulator

The regulator failed to function properly

The tube catching fire

Gas Safe will not shut off if...

Any minor leakage occurs; Gas Safe will indicate the leakage through our testing procedure of the minor leakage.

The control of an appliance (gas stove) in unlit condition is left in ON position

There is insufficient flow through the spot where the leakage may be occurring

The supply line is too small

The gas system mounted is placed near a corrosive area or an area which is subjected to vibration

PROCEDURE FOR INSTALLATION OF DEVICE: -

1) First Remove the regulator from the LPG Cylinder.

2) In its place fix the gas safe device on the LPG cylinder.

3) Now take the regulator and fix it on to the gas safe device.

4) Depress the gas safe gauge dial a few times till the needle of the gauge rises.

Test of Minor Leakage :

STEP 1:

The knob of Gas Safe, regulator, burner or stove should be in ON position, and fire should be there in burner or stove.

STEP 2:

Off the knob of burner or stove.

STEP 3:

Off the knob of Gas Safe (don’t touch the regulator. It should be in ON position always).

STEP 4:Carefully watch the gauge of Gas Safe for few second, if the needle of Gas Safe dial comes down, it indicates that there is minor leakage in your system. If the needle of Gas Safe do not comes down it indicates that there is NO leakage in your system and you can use your system safely.

NOTE : Incase of any minor leakage in your system first you solve the leakage with the help of technicians. Do not use the system (LPG Cylinder) without solving that leakage.
